The following is just a short list of restaurants located within walking distance of the Sheraton Boston Hotel. The price ranges are approximate per person, including one alcoholic beverage and tip. The information contained here is subject to change.



• Abe & Louie’s, 739 Boylston St.
One of the newer steakhouses in Boston, it offers large portions of beef as well as fresh fish entrees. Price range: $40-$60

• Atlantic Fish Company, 761 Boylston St.
This restaurant offers many traditional fish entrees, featuring fantastic lobster bisque and an excellent raw bar. AFC also has an active bar scene, where you can count on good drinks and good food. Price range: $21-$40

• Blue Cat Café, 94 Mass Ave. (at corner of Newbury Street)
A hip downtown restaurant that features jazz and a cool bar. The menu is limited to a handful of eclectic dishes, but the price is right at $15-$25 per person.

• Cactus Club, 939 Boylston St.
This lively Mexican restaurant offers diners “generic” Mexican food and outstanding drinks. If you’re not feeling adventurous, this may be the place for you. Price range: $15-$25

• California Pizza Kitchen, 800 Boylston St. (Prudential Center)
A casual eatery providing fresh, gourmet pizzas with unusual toppings. They also serve soups, salads and sandwiches. A great place to bring kids. Price range: $8-$19

• Dillon’s, 955 Boylston St.
An eclectic restaurant that features Mediterranean fusion cuisine as well as some American classics. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous.

• Jasper White’s Summer Shack, 50 Dalton St.
This casual restaurant by one of Boston’s celebrity chefs offers fresh seafood as well as other New England favorites. The atmosphere is noisy, as the restaurant has gained a reputation as a good spot for families and large parties. Price range: $18-$25 per adult.

• King’s, 10 Scotia St.
This new lounge, located across the street from the Sheraton Hotel, is perfect if you’re looking for beverages, billiards or bowling. They also serve are variety of comfort foods at reasonable prices in their dining room.

• Legal Sea Foods, 800 Boylston St. (Prudential Center) and 100 Huntington Ave. (Copley Place Mall)
This local legend serves award-winning clam chowder, the freshest seafood in town (or so they claim) and a wide variety of fish entrees. Price range: $25-$45

• Morton’s of Chicago, 1 Exeter Place (Boylston Street)
This small, dark steakhouse is known for its generous steaks as well as a knowledgeable staff and outstanding service. Price range: $35-$60

• Oak Room, 138 St. James Ave. (Copley Plaza Hotel)
Best known for its elegant dining room, this restaurant features classic meals and is favored as a special occasion meeting spot. Reservations recommended. Price range: $45-$65

• The Palm, 200 Dartmouth St. (Westin Hotel)
The Boston location of this national steakhouse chain serves plenty of non-meat selections as well a moderately priced, delicious lunch menu. Price range: $45-$60

• Vinny T’s of Boston, 867 Boylston St.
A decent Italian restaurant that’s popular for large parties and a great place to bring kids. If you aren’t up for one of their giant pasta dishes, have a seat at the bar and enjoy a drink and an appetizer. Price range: $15-$30

• Vox Populi, 755 Boylston St.
This multi-level Back Bay restaurant serves contemporary American fare with an eclectic twist. Its bar scene is more of an attraction on the weekends than its dining room. Price range: $20-$35
